Agnes R. Lehman, age 86 of Mechanicsburg, passed away Monday, February 13, 2012 at Holy Spirit Hospital. Born April 12, 1925 in Gormley, Ontario, Canada she was a daughter of the late Percy and Ruth (Steckley) Colber.
She attended Niagara Christian College and Messiah College, served 15 years along with her husband as missionaries in Zimbabwe, Africa, and was a member of the Messiah Village Brethren In Christ Church. Agnes was a wonderful letter writer, enjoyed china painting, cooking, entertaining, sewing and knitting. She prayed faithfully for her family and friends and was a trusted and faithful friend to many.
Surviving are her husband the Rev. J. Robert Lehman, five children, Steven Lehman and wife Wanda of Annville; Deborah Weaver and husband Dale of Closter, NJ; Susan Good and husband Tony of Manheim; Randy Lehman of Mechanicsburg and Thomas Lehman and wife Anne of Landsdowne; twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and three sisters, Marie Hoover, Velma Koop and Doris Frey all of Ontario, Canada.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Messiah Village Chapel where there will be a visitation from 9:30 a.m. The Rev. Richard Long will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
